Mean Hand is a typeface made from the average of 814,255 handwritten characters in the EMNIST dataset, gathered by the US government in the late 1980s and early 1990s in an effort to automate Census form processing. It covers the full alphabet and digits across nine weights. Each weight sets a different agreement threshold — the proportion of samples that must contain a point for it to appear as part of the character.
